Andrew Janusz is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Florida. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. His research interests include racial politics, political behavior, and representation in Latin America. His work focuses primarily on the political marginalization of African descendants in Brazil.
Current Work
Andrew Janusz's current book project explores why Afro-Brazilian politicians are rarely elected to public office and examines how their political marginalization affects public policy and the quality of Brazilian democracy.
