Nancy Acevedo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at California State University, San Bernardino. As an interdisciplinary scholar, she uses critical race theory and Chicana feminist theories to examine transitions along the Higher Education pipeline for Latina/o/x students. She is a Scholar in Residence at the UC Davis Wheelhouse Center for Community College Leadership and Research and a Research Fellow for the Latinx Research Center at Santa Clara University. Most recently, she co-authored a book with Dr. Gilberto Q. Conchas titled The Chicana/o/x dream: Hope, resistance, and educational success. |
Current Work
I am currently conducting a project to understand the experiences of California Community College counselors as they navigated the changes that came with Assembly Bill 705 and the pandemic.
