Arnold K. Ho is an associate professor of psychology at the University of Michigan. Arnold Ho's research examines the psychological and sociopolitical factors that contribute to group-based discrimination and inequality.
Current Work
Ho’s research has examined how our sociopolitical motives (e.g., authoritarianism and egalitarianism) affect the way we perceive the world, with consequences for group-based discrimination and inequality. He is currently interested in the ecological and evolutionary origins of those motives. Ho’s research has been published in top academic journals, including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Psychological Science, Personality and Social Psychology Review, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and Child Development, and has been covered by numerous news outlets, including the Boston Globe, New York Times, and Time. Ho currently serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. In recognition of his scholarly contributions, Ho was appointed as a Russell Sage Foundation fellow during the 2018-19 academic year. Ho received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology.
