About
As Librarian for History of Art, I serve as subject specialist at the University of Michigan Library. I provide resources that facilitate research, teaching, and scholarship in the history of the visual arts in print and electronic formats. Image research and identification, as well as auction and appraisal research are additional areas of expertise. I hold an AB in art history and MLS from Indiana University, MA in art history from the University of Chicago, and ABD in art history at the University of Michigan. Areas of focus are 19th & 20th cent. art and visual culture; early African- American film and illustrated newspapers; Roman art; and copyright issues.
Current Work
In addition to collection development, I implement research and bibliographic instruction which supports history of art research on campus and beyond. Additional responsibilities include outreach and liaison to the Department of the History of Art, as well as exhibit curator for the Fine Arts Library.
