Lisa Reber, PhD is a postdoctoral research fellow in the University of Michigan (U-M) Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Her doctoral research explores the emotional well-being and socio-spatial marginalization experienced by low-wage migrant workers from sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia in Dubai in the UAE. As a research fellow at U-M, she examines issues of social and spatial marginalization, focusing on populations with long-term physical disabilities.
Current Work
Dr. Reber is currently conducting the qualitative research component of a study focused on identifying the environmental factors, programs, and supports perceived as supporting healthy aging for people with a physical disability (PWPD) in Detroit and Flint.
