About
Isaac Wingfield teaches in the Residential College at the University of Michigan. In 2015, he started a photography-based collaborative workshop that brings together the University of Michigan students and men who are incarcerated in Michigan prisons. He completed his undergraduate studies at Appalachian State University and received an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design.
Current Work
Humanize the Numbers is a collaborative photography project led by Isaac Wingfield that works with people in Michigan prisons to make photographs about their experiences. The images from these workshops reflect on life both inside and outside of prison, and reveal the impact of mass incarceration on a personal level.
