About
Dr. Wozolek is currently serving as the inaugural Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence for her campus, Penn State University, Abington College, where she also serves as an assistant professor of education. Her work considers questions of social justice, qualitative research methods, and teaching practices that focus on the examination of race, sexual orientations, and gender identities (and their multiple forms of expression) in schools.
Current Work
Dr. Wozolek frequently works across educational contexts to think with queer youth, youth of color, and their intersections to consider how oppression forms and informs their daily experiences. Her work focuses on both the school-to-coffin and school-to-prison pipelines and how those pipelines are knotted in the norms and values that often continue uninterrupted in and across cultural contexts.
