About
Solomon M. Gofie is an assistant professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. Migration and transnationalism, transnational involvement, human rights, citizenship and political communities in the Horn of Africa are his areas of research. Currently he is a visiting scholar at the University of Montana. His PhD is in political science from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Current Work
Dr. Gofie is currently working on a number of research topics — emigration and transnationalism, youth emigration, transnational engagements in the Horn of Africa, citizenship and political community, conflict resolution and development, human rights institutions, and electoral politics. He is currently writing and submitting journal articles or book chapters on these topics.
