Crystal E. Garcia is an assistant professor in the administration of higher education program within the Department of Educational Foundations, Leadership, and Technology at Auburn University. She completed her PhD in educational studies specializing in educational leadership and higher education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received a master's degree in higher education administration and a bachelor's degree in communications from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Current Work
Currently, Crystal E. Garcia is beginning work on two new projects. The first is a qualitative, narrative analysis of the experiences of college student members of culturally based student organizations in terms of their perceptions of campus climates for racial and ethnic diversity. The second is a qualitative, critical discourse analysis of administrative responses to societal events that affect campus climates for racial and ethnic diversity.
