Jacquelyn Chappel has taught Developmental Writing and Composition for six years and currently conducts research on family/school/community partnerships through the University of Hawaii's Educational Psychology department. Her research interests focus on diversity issues in education including curriculum and family outreach.

Jacquelyn's current research projects include a qualitative case study on family/school partnerships at eight different different schools and successful professional development practices particularly as they relate to teaching family/school partnerships.
