About
Christine Wood graduated from Barnard College in 2003. She then received a master of arts in sociology from the New School for Social Research in 2005. She completed her PhD in sociology and the Program in Gender and Sexuality Studies at Northwestern University in 2014. She holds an appointment as a research associate at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and is a visiting lecturer of sociology at Northwestern.
Current Work
Dr. Wood is working on developing a book project from her dissertation, which analyzed the institutional and organizational development of women's and gender studies programs and departments in the US. She also regularly publishes on gender and racial diversity in the biomedical sciences, drawing on data from a longitudinal study housed at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
