Dr. Huckle is an assistant professor at Pace University in the political science department. She earned her PhD from the University of Washington in 2016, an MA in political science from Villanova University in 2010, and an MA in Theological Studies from George Fox Evangelical Seminary in 2008. Her research focuses on the intersection of religion and politics, emphasizing the distinctions in both religious expression and political participation between culture and ethnic groups.
Current Work
Dr. Huckle examines the Catholic Church as a source of political information and mobilization, particularly for immigrant and immigrant derived communities. Her research establishes patterns of service and response from the Church to various ethnic groups, understanding such attention plays a key role in receiving groups' political success. She also looks to the effect of community on individual's willingness to politically engage, with an emphasis on immigrant and communities of color.
