Francisco Vieyra is an assistant professor of sociology at SUNY Albany. Previously, Francisco was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of African & African-American Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. He received a PhD in sociology from New York University and a BA in history from Yale University.
Current Work
His research falls into two main areas: black solidarity, survival, and empowerment strategies and qualitative methodologies.
