Adam Alexander is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Oklahoma Tobacco Research Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Current Work
Adam Alexander's current research explores cigarette use after Hurricane Katrina. Specifically, his research demonstrates how being exposed to traumatic subsequently increases psychological distress, which in turn, influences many aspects of smoking, including daily cigarette use, nicotine dependence, and smoking relapse. Adam is also exploring childhood adversity and the effects it has on adolescent and adult physical and mental health. He thinks that childhood adversity plays an important role in contributing to health disparities.
