Current Work
Dr. Toosi's research deals primarily with social identities including race, gender, religion, and migration, and the ways they interact with each other. She studies group dynamics - for example how gender dynamics change in racially diverse compared to racially homogeneous groups - and women's leadership styles in diverse settings. She is currently exploring zero-sum beliefs between different groups, and the effects of different concepts of religion on religious literacy and prejudice.
