Aaron J. Griffen, PhD is currently the Vice President (VP) of Diversity Equity and Inclusion at DSST Public Schools in Denver, Colorado. He and his wife, Karen, are the co-founders of Prosperity Educators, LLC, an independent educational consulting company whose services include Diversity, Equity and Inclusion development, instructional leadership and peer coaching, strategic planning, and organization management. Current Work
Dr. Griffen is an author, speaker, consultant, panelist, and lecturer with an active research interest and publishing agenda in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Cultural Responsiveness and Relevance, Culturally Responsive Instructional Leadership, Multicultural Curriculum and Instruction, African American Educational Lobbying, and Urban Policy and Analysis. He has multiple book projects in the works which include P-12 Practitioner Scholarship, School Leaders of Color Leading in the Midst of a Global Pandemic, and Leadership Beyond the Title to Heal our Communities. His first edited volume "Challenges to Integrating Diversity Equity and Inclusion Programs in Organizations" and his first solo authored book "The Power of a Praying a Praying Principal: An Attitude of Faith, Hope, Meaning, Purpose, and Spirituality in Schools" are scheduled for release in Fall 2020.
