Brittany M. Williams, PhD is an assistant professor of higher education and student affairs administration at the University of Vermont. She engages research exploring issues of career and identity development, social class, and the nexus of education and health in college and campus environments. Black women and girls serve as her primary point of scholarly inquiry.
Current Work
Dr. Williams is currently working on two projects. The first is supported by the 2022 National Academy of Education (NAEd)/ Spencer post-doctoral fellowship program. Williams is examining the attitudes, skills, and knowledge Black college women in Metro-Atlanta display around HIV/AIDS. Her second in progress study is an exploration of academic precocity among Black post-graduate women in student affairs and higher education.
