Soprano Katherine Jolly is an associate professor of voice at Oberlin Conservatory. She has appeared in leading coloratura and soubrette roles with companies including Opera Theatre Saint Louis, Houston Grand Operaco., Florida Grand Opera, New York City Opera, Virginia Opera, and American Lyric Theatre. Dr. Jolly has presented workshops on yoga, singing, and performance anxiety nationally, including the Voice Foundation and the Performing Arts Medical Association International Symposium.
Current Work
Dr. Jolly remains active in her singing career, presenting recitals throughout the country, collaborating in chamber music, appearing as a soloist with orchestras, and opera companies. She presents workshops on yoga, performance anxiety, and their effects on high-level performing artists. She teaches Voice, Movement for Singers, and other voice related courses on her campus and throughout the country as an artist-in residency. She will join SongFest as a voice faculty member this summer and will perform and present a new song cycle at the National Association of Teachers of Singing National Conference in June. Her recent CD, Preach Sister Preach, was released in August 2019 on NAVONA records.
