Current Work
Dr. Zheng's research interests lie in ethics, moral psychology, and social philosophy (especially feminist philosophy and philosophy of race), approached through a commitment to social justice and a sensitivity to empirical evidence. Much of her work theorizes the relationship between individual moral agents and large-scale structural injustice, e.g. moral responsibility for implicit bias and for contributing to social change. She has also examined a range of issues at the intersections of race, gender, and social inequality, e.g. racial fetish, the #MeToo movement, and precarious academic labor. Currently, she is writing a book manuscript about building solidarity amongst feminist, anti-racist, and workers' movements.
