Current Work
Dr. Fonseca-Chávez's current research project centers on the stories and histories of Hispano residents of eastern Arizona. She is the inaugural recipient of the CMAS/Voces Oral History Collaborative Fellowship and will be working on an oral history project about the 100th anniversary of the St. Rafael Mission Catholic Church in Concho, Arizona. This research explores how community members remember their own histories in the region, as well as how they navigate their identities in rural and religious spaces.
