Elyzza M. Aparicio is a PhD candidate in the Center for Study of Higher Education at The Pennsylvania State University. She holds a Master's in Science in Student Development in Higher Education from California State University, Long Beach, a BA in Literatures in English from the University of California, San Diego, and an AA in English from Cerritos College. Elyzza M. Aparicio researches underrepresented racial/ethnic groups and their degree aspirations. Her dissertation explores the role of undergraduate research experience on degree aspirations for underrepresented racial/ethnic groups at an earlier time point in their academic pathway.
