Dr. Bamishigbin is originally from Miami, Florida. He graduated with his BA in Psychology from the University of Miami in 2012 and his PhD in Health Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2017. He began a position as an assistant professor of psychology at California State University, Los Angeles from 2017 to 2020. In Fall 2020, he joined the faculty as an assistant professor of psychology at California State University, Long Beach.
Current Work
Dr. Bamishigbin's research is aimed at better understanding a) the different stressors new fathers experience after the birth of their children, b) the resilience resources fathers use to cope with their stress, and c) the impact of stress and resilience on their mental and physical health.
