Current Work
Dr. Golden's research focuses on factors (e.g. peer racial socialization) that directly and indirectly contribute to the positive adjustment of minority youth experiencing contexts of risk (e.g, school-based discrimination). Her current work investigates the process of peer racial socialization among Black undergraduates. More specifically, she explores the content of peer racial messages and how the school racial climate and emerging adult context influence messages that are communicated.
