About
Dr. Wen Guo is an assistant professor of arts administration. She studies a broad array of topics in arts administration and cultural policy with both qualitative and quantitative methods. She is a recent research fellow of the Strategic National Arts Alumni Project (SNAAP) affiliated with Indiana University, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Art Schools Network. She has published peer-reviewed articles in The Journal of Arts Management, Law, and Society, Studies in Art Education, Visual Inquiry, Artivate: A Journal of Entrepreneurship in the Arts, and the American Journal of Arts Management. She currently serves as an editorial board member of the American Journal of Arts Management and a board member of the International Conference of Social Theory, Politics the Arts.
Current Work
Dr. Guo studies a broad range of topics in arts management and cultural policy by using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Her current focus is on the arts entrepreneurship career of artists, representations of BIPOC artists in museum management, community engagement programs of nonprofit dance studios, and the political dynamics of creative placemaking. The different topics serve the same purpose of enhancing career opportunities for artists through better connecting the arts community and the public
