Dr. Caroline M. Brackette is a professor of counseling at Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her research interests include social and cultural competency, leadership and advocacy, sport counseling and consultation, conflict resolution, and community and corporate collaboration and engagement. She is a licensed professional counselor, approved clinical supervisor, registered neutral, national certified counselor, and certified school counselor. She has published, consulted, and presented at various conferences and symposia on her work related to her scholarship. Dr. Brackette is a recipient of the College of Professional Advancement Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is a past-president of the American Counseling Association Georgia state branch and led efforts to revitalize the chapter. She has served on the Fulton County Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Council and Georgia Statewide Human Trafficking TaskForce. Dr. Brackette is also a disaster mental health relief volunteer. She previously served as the team clinician for the Atlanta Falcons and is listed on the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee Mental Health Registry and on mental health directories for several major professional sports leagues. She earned two bachelor of art degrees in communication and psychology, a master of education in counseling, and a doctor of philosophy in counselor education; all from the University of Toledo.
