Dr. Jerell Hill is currently a dean and assessment coordinator. He is a dynamic scholar and a voice for educational justice and diversity, equity, and inclusion. His current research includes teacher preparation and academic achievement. Additional areas of research include Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs), student motivation, educational administration, special education, and urban schools. Dr. Hill is proud to have served as an educator for more than 20 years and has taught within many diverse populations and in a range of urban educational contexts, including special education, middle school, high school, undergraduate, graduate programs. Additionally, he became a Principal, District Administrator, and Assistant Superintendent. Dr. Hill has given several keynote addresses, published peer-reviewed articles, and developed curriculum.
Current Work
Dr. Hill is currently working to diversify the educator pipeline with a grant to develop a transformative educator preparation program.
