Natassia Rodriguez Ott is an education research analyst in RTI International's Education and Workforce Development division. She has expertise in the areas of the postsecondary-workforce transition, career and technical education (CTE), racial and economic inequality in education, and student outcomes in secondary and postsecondary education. Dr. Rodriguez Ott is experienced in quantitative and qualitative analysis and data-collection methods. Before joining RTI, Dr. Rodriguez Ott received her PhD at Stanford University and worked as the lead researcher at the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative, where she developed a national survey, designed multimethod research projects, authored reports, and presented at multiple business summits. Dr. Rodriguez Ott's interests include postsecondary academic outcomes, CTE, labor force transitions, and career pathways for underrepresented minorities and low socioeconomic status students.
Current Work
Dr. Rodriguez Ott's recent projects include quasi-experimental student outcome evaluations of community college career and technical education for Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training grant programs in two states. For the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics, Dr. Rodriguez Ott is analyzing data and authoring a report based on data from the NSF-NIH Survey of Graduate Students and Postdoctorates in Science and Engineering. Dr. Rodriguez Ott is also developing tools for high schools to develop employer partnerships and expand career readiness opportunities to all students.
