Janée N. Burkhalter, PhD, is associate dean of undergraduate programs and an associate professor of marketing at Saint Joseph's University's Haub School of Business. She teaches and researches at the intersection of entertainment, marketing strategy and social media. She is a marketing scholar, educator, and strategist with practical experience in marketing communications, career services, entrepreneurship, diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is a multi-talented and highly creative servant leader serving on the boards of two local non-profits.
Current Work
The bulk of Dr. Burkhalter's research focuses on shoppers and factors that influence their purchases — including the music they listen to and the way they engage on social media. Her second area of research concerns pedagogy. She is interested in curricular innovation and preparing culturally-competent professionals to enter the workforce.
