About
Dr. Laquitta Walker received her BS in political science and African American studies from Eastern Michigan University. She earned her master's degree in African American and African studies from The Ohio State University and her PhD in sociology from Arizona State University. Dr. Walker's research interests include international migration, race and ethnic identity formation, and population studies. She is currently employed in the Population Division at the US Census Bureau.
Current Work
Dr. Walker currently researches the characteristics of the foreign-born population in the United States using data from the American Community Survey and the Current Population Survey.
