About
During her years as an executive board member of the Graduate Employees Organization (graduate student union), Students of Color of Rackham (SCOR), and Black Humanities Collective (BHC) at the University of Michigan, Dr. Day has been able to get involved in multiple student movements and the university’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including but not limited to: the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) plan and the #BBUM (Being Black at U-M) movement.
Current Work
Currently her work focuses on the critical analysis of user generated content on social media sites, such as YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr, in order to draw conclusions about the performance and reception of race, gender, sexuality, class, etc in both online and offline spaces.
