Jeff is currently a visiting assistant professor of higher education and student affairs a the University of Iowa. He earned an associate's degree in general studies from Hagerstown Community College (MD), bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Maryland, College Park, master's in student affairs administration from Michigan State University, and doctor of philosophy in higher education from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Current Work
Dr. Grim studies organizational equity issues in higher education. His scholarship looks at how organizational policies, practices, and contexts shape the experiences and outcomes of systemically marginalized faculty, staff, and students in higher education. One of his current projects examines how leaders of color in higher education cultivate a leader identity through academic careers. Jeff is also a collaborator on a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grant to research and offer tools for higher education change agents to initiative and sustain equitable organizational change.
