Current Work
The central strain in my scholarship has been on equity, inclusion and social justice. Early in my career I focused on men's development and gender identity development, particularly in relation to sexual assault prevention. Over the past decade I have focused attention on the use of critical theories and pedagogies with regard to both sexism and racism, although trying to maintain a conscious focus on intersectionality. Currently I am exploring Critical Whiteness Studies and the space between Critical Theories and Non-Violent Compassionate Communication. During my last sabbatical in 2021, I explored this liminal space considering the use of narrative structures and storytelling as leadership practice, policy analysis, and research methodology.
