About
Dr. Nguyen is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Learning Research and Development Center at the University of Pittsburgh, where she works on a Gates grant focused on the role of Networked Improvement Communities within a large public school district. She earned her PhD from the University of California, Riverside, her M.Ed. from Florida International University, and B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Current Work
In her current work, Dr. Nguyen examines how to address educational inequities with Black and Brown students within the public school systems through examining how Networked Improvement Communities can help support teachers in increasing Culturally Responsive Practices through instructional rigor. Other lines of research interest include Educational History and educational achievement of Southeast Asian students.
