Olawale Yemisi is currently a Lecturer at the Department of History, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He holds a B.A. in History and International Studies from Osun State Univerisity, Osogbo and M.A. Degree in History and International Relations from University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He is currently a Doctoral Student at the Department of History, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Olawale is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding (CBCIU), Osogbo, Nigeria; Fellow, Institute for Research and Policy Integration in Africa (IRPIA); Member Diversity Scholars Network, National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID), University of Michigan (U-M). Olawale has a particular interest in African history, and his research intersects topics such as Mobility and Deportation Studies, Socio-Cultural History, and Africa's International Relations. Email:
