I am human-environment geographer with expertise in water governance and housing security in informal settlements. I also have a minor is epidemiological methods and investigate neighborhood stressors of adolescent mental health. I have also been pursuing stakeholder engaged research in making my work accessible, and reciprocal to the communities I work with.
Current Work
My projects include working with informal settlements in Nairobi, Kenya on water access, quality, disease, and housing. Another project looks that adolescent populations and neighborhood level stressors of mental health among low income populations in urban India. I have also started a new project in the US, where I am working with agricultural extension folks in understanding barriers to climate information use among corn-belt farmers in the mid-west.
