Dr. Chandanabhumma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Executive Committee Member of the Michigan Mixed Methods Program. He completed his PhD in Community Health Sciences at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. His mixed methods dissertation research examined the influence of group diversity on the achievements of community-based participatory research partnerships. His research interests include health inequities, antiracism, community engagement, diversity and inclusion and mixed methods approaches.
Current Work
Dr. Chandanabhumma's research focuses on: 1) promoting anti-racist and decolonizing approaches in medical and public health practices 2) understanding how diversity and inclusion in healthcare impact health inequities 3) applying participatory, mixed methods approaches in health equity research
