Dr. King has secured, managed, and evaluated various federal, state, and privately funded programs throughout her career including projects funded through the Office of Federal TRiO Programs, Office of Migrant Education, Title V, and Title III. Her success is reflected in over $32 million dollars of secured grant funding.

Current Work
Dr, King is currently focusing research efforts on asset-based mindset application in service delivery. While focus on instructional delivery is vital to DEI efforts, implementing culturally relevant pedagogy is limited to the classroom and course-related environments. By expanding DEI efforts to include service delivery across campus, institutions of higher education can work to create inclusive environments in all aspects of operation.
