Dr. Ada T. Cenkci is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Organizational Leadership at Northern Kentucky University. She holds a Ph.D. in management and organization, an MBA degree, and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. She has taught courses on leadership, diversity, and culture at undergraduate and graduate levels. She is enthusiastic about using the latest technology tools to enhance student learning. Thus, she completed the Master of Education in Educational Technology program at Wright State University. Her main research areas of interest are inclusive leadership and workplace loneliness.
Current Work
Dr. Cenkci’s program is dedicated to shedding light on the relatively unexplored field of antecedents of workplace loneliness within organizations. As a demonstration of her research interests, she is the lead author of a forthcoming book, titled “Overcoming Workplace Loneliness: Cultivating Belonging for a Remote Workforce,” which is published in 2023. This book provides practical solutions to tackle the challenges of workplace loneliness and cultivate a sense of belonging, with a specific emphasis on remote work and social identity. In addition to this book, she has published 14 peer-reviewed articles in esteemed journals.
