Current Work
Dr. McCray's scholarship centers around Black male elementary teachers and how their ecosystems influence their experiences and decision to teach within primary education. His current work has been grounded within Community Cultural Wealth and its relations to asset-based thinking and best practices about affinity students and their career development. Holistically, his research is grounded in anti-racist and decolonial methods that illuminate, uplift and heal historically underrepresented groups in research and practice.
