Dr. Burke's current research involves BGSU alumni who are world language teachers and their students. It gives power to the 7th-12th grade student voice about language learning. Students want to learn to communicate with others by learning to speak another language. Dr. Burke also wants to publish learning expeditions she has helped undergraduate and graduate students design that create opportunities for secondary world language students to promote social justice while learning their world language.
