Current Work
Dr. Fussell-Ware studies obstacles that prevent Black, Hispanic, and Latinx adolescents and young adults from engaging in treatment for mental distress. She is currently planning a multi-city survey of Black youth to find out what they know and believe about mental illnesses, people who have them, and how to recognize and treat these disorders.
