Current Work
My scholarship centers on incorporating care into my research. I believe in changing the culture of graduate education and my scholarship is aligned with this goal. My upcoming project focuses on helping faculty learn how to serve on dissertation communities. From a perspective of Black women PhD holders with no Black women faculty on their committees. As faculty we often do what we saw modeled for us as students, no formal training on how to do all the aspects of being a professor especially not how to be a good committee member.
