Current Work
Dr. Bentley's research focuses on three main areas: (1) exploring how race, ethnicity, and disability intersect to affect people's lives, (2) examining systemic inequalities and barriers in maternal and child health (MCH), and (3) promoting community-driven solutions to improve collaborative care systems. In addition to her research, Dr. Bentley works as a Community-Based Doula in Detroit and the surrounding areas, providing emotional, physical, and informational support to families during the perinatal period.
