About
Dr. Stone is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.A. in Human Development Psychology from Cornell University, an M.Ed. in Higher Education, and a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Florida International University. While earning his graduate degree, Blayne served as a Research Associate in Wisconsin’s Equity and Inclusion Laboratory. Before starting his Ph.D., Blayne worked in several student affairs positions (e.g., residence hall director, pre-college summer programs director), and within support placement positions (e.g., mental health tech, emergency services specialist, paraprofessional, psychological testing technician) for youth/adolescents and adults in need.
Current Work
Dr. Stone's research is dedicated to increasing understanding of the experiences and educational pathways of Black college students who have been involved in the foster care system.
