Current Work
My research focuses on language learners in K-16 world language and ESOL classrooms. I am particularly interested in how language learning unfolds for diverse learners within the social contexts. These contexts range from community-level language ideologies to the immediate classroom interactions. I approach these topics from social and critical perspectives. I am also interested in interdisciplinary projects that connect these areas to broader conversations on social justice in education.
