I am SY, a community researcher from kayos kollective, a LGBTQIA+ research community group. My work surrounds LGBTQIA+ citizen science from an intersectional perspective, thinking about how we can operationalize principles of intersectionality into community work to ensure that our work uplifts the most marginalized.
Current Work
My scholarship currently thinks about the lived experiences of racialized LGBTQIA+ individuals, thinking about the diversity of experience and how their individual, relational, psychological and social outcomes develop differently. I am particularly interested in the works that develop in this area outside of North America, offering a cross cultural perspective to this experience.
