Call for Applications: Join the Diversity Scholars Network

The National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID) at the University of Michigan invites applications for the Diversity Scholars Network (DSN).

The DSN is a global scholarly community committed to advancing diversity research and scholarship that addresses critical social issues related to identity, difference, culture, representation, power, oppression, and inequality.

About the Diversity Scholars Network

The DSN fosters academic, educational, and social connections, creating environments that support the professional success of diversity scholars. As a member of the DSN, you will join an interdisciplinary, multi-institutional community of over 1,800 scholars from more than 200 institutions worldwide. Membership provides opportunities to:

  • Collaborate with other scholars and mobilize for social change.
  • Receive support in producing and disseminating your scholarship.
  • Contribute to advancing diversity scholarship in academia.

Application Process

We welcome applications from individuals actively engaged in diversity scholarship or applying research-informed diversity scholarship in their practice. The application process is simple and can be completed in under 10 minutes. Applicants should be prepared to:

  • Briefly describe their research, scholarly work, and current or upcoming projects.
  • Provide an updated CV and profile picture for their public DSN directory profile.

Applicants will be contacted regarding their application status in February or March of next year, with formal announcements to follow.

If you have additional questions, we encourage you to schedule a meeting with the Program Manager for Diversity Scholar Engagement via this link. Meetings are available by phone or through teleconferencing platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet.

Join the DSN and become part of a community dedicated to advancing diversity scholarship and creating a more equitable and inclusive society!
