The National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID) represents a commitment by the University of Michigan (U-M) to affirm the central value and undeniable importance of institutional diversity to the mission of all colleges and universities. Our vision is to empower people and institutions to leverage knowledge and skills around the benefits, challenges, and opportunities of diversity in order to create a truly equitable and inclusive society. To create a more equitable and inclusive society, we produce, catalyze, and elevate diversity research and scholarship. In this pursuit, we also build intergenerational communities of scholars and leaders to integrate these evidence-based approaches in addressing contemporary issues in a diverse society.
The Fellowships and Faculty Development Program Manager will manage the development and execution of several key U-M and LSA diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) plan initiatives, specifically those focused on efforts that recruit, retain, and support the overall success of outstanding scholars with demonstrated DEI commitments exhibited through their scholarship, teaching, and/or service.
